Effective dates of the new agreement, January 16, 2008 through January 15, 2014.
Wage adjustments negotiated in coordinated bargaining. Shift differential increase of $.20 for evening and midnight shifts. In addition to those increases won in coordinated bargaining, retirement increases of $2.00 in years 4, 5 and 6. Among other changes in benefits are two additional personal days (in 2008 only.) New employees will join the Union and pay dues after 30 days. Meal allowance increased from $4.00 to $5.00. Additional classifications added to 12 months protection from bumping. Reported by Mary R. Effective dates of the new agreement, March 1, 2008 through February 28, 2011.
Wage increases of 3.5% effective 3/2/08, 3.5% on 3/1/09, and 4.0% on 2/28/10. Evening and midnight shift differential increase of $.10/hr. Contribution pension plan based on weekly gross wages including overtime and shift premium, i.e., 0-9 years, 3%; 10-19 years, 4%; 20-29 years, 5%; 30+ years, 6%. Other changes include work shoe allowance $415.00 on 3/1/08 and $425.00 on 3/1/10. Retiree life insurance increased to $14,000. Wage increases of $.65 effective 1/1/09, all employees /hr in March of each year of the contract beginning 3/3/08. Special wage adjustments for certain classifications. Increased defined benefit plan by $1.00 on 3/1/08 and 12/31/08, then frozen. Will participate in DCRP. Other changes in benefits include increasing STD benefits by $10 each year of contract from $480, uniforms furnished, paid breaks and additional eligible vacations be effective on anniversary date. Wage increases of 4.3% effective 5/7/08 as well as a bonus of $750. Increases of 3.8%, 5/7/09; 3.6% 5/7/10; and 3.7%, 5/7/11. Shift premium increase of $.05/hr for evening and midnight with the Sunday premium increase of $.35/hr. Shoe allowance of $220 per year. One set of coveralls every 24 months. Meal allowance of $5.50.
