"Labor suports our troops on Memorial Day"

Courtney Setley, 2008 Labor Day Princess for the United Reading-Berks Labor Council, rode with pride in the Spring Township Memorial Day parade. Courtney`s aunt, Sgt. Marrysa A. Setley, who is currently deployed in Iraq.

Courtney is the grandaughter of Vice President Setley. She is serving her third term as "Royalty" for the CLC in Berk County PA.

Also, the driver for this years parade is Jim Schirey a retired member of Local 619C, Boyertown, PA. Jim and his wife are pictured in his restored 1967 Chevy Super Sport with Courtney riding high on the colors in the back.

Coalition building such as the Memorial Day presence are an ongoing effort of the CLC in the area.
