CSB Funding

Dear ICWUC Brothers and Sisters,

I am excited to share that congress recently passed a funding bill that will secure $14.4 million for the Chemical Safety Board (CSB) for Fiscal Year 2026!

The funding was passed last week under the FY2026 Interior, Environment and Related Agencies bill by a vote of 82-15. Because CSB is an independent agency this approved $14.4 million will go directly to funding them. the This will ensure CSB can assist our members across the U.S. with safety materials, trainings, and investigation services when needed.

I want to express my thanks to the following ICWUC members who advocated to congressional staff to keep funding the CSB.

Thank you to-
April Hines- President- L970C
Earl Alridge- President- L419C
Glenn Proffitt-President- Local 2598 T
Kerry Phillips- Vice President, Region 1
